Weld Shop Supply started as a brick-and-mortar shop in Morrill, Kansas — and it still is one. When you call, a real welder picks up. When you ask a torch question, you get an answer from someone who has actually used the thing.
How we got here
We opened the doors in Morrill, Kansas in 2009 as a physical welding supply shop — the kind of place where the counter is high, the coffee is bad, and the guy behind it can tell you which tungsten to grind for your machine. That part hasn't changed.
What changed is who we can help. Morrill is a town of about 200 people. If we'd stayed a counter-only shop, we'd have run out of neighbors to serve a long time ago. So we built weldshopsupply.com to bring the same shop-counter service to welders, farmers, and fabricators anywhere UPS delivers.
Seventeen years later, we ship thousands of orders a year from the same building on Main Street. Same family. Same shop. Just more customers.
We actually know welding
Most welding supply websites you'll find are drop-shippers — one guy, a laptop, and a Shopify template pulling product from a distributor's warehouse. They can't answer your question because they've never held the thing.
We're not that. We stock what we sell. We use what we sell. If you call us about a CK-17 flex head torch, you're talking to somebody who has run one on a stainless job in the last month. If you ask us about which Lincoln machine to buy for your farm shop, we'll ask you what you're welding on and how thick before we quote you.
