CK LaYZr tungsten electrodes deliver superior arc starting and stability for precision TIG welding applications. This .040" diameter tungsten features a rare earth lanthanum-zirconium oxide blend that provides excellent current-carrying capacity and extended electrode life in both AC and DC welding processes.
The LaYZr formulation offers improved arc initiation compared to standard thoriated tungsten while maintaining the low work function properties welders depend on for consistent performance. These electrodes resist tip erosion and maintain their pointed geometry longer, reducing downtime for electrode preparation and replacement.
